Color Table
The ColorTable is a tangible user interface in support of urban planners and diverse stakeholders collaboratively envisioning urban change. It provides users with the possibility to arrange and position tokens on a surface, representing a 3D scene.
A tabletop projection augments the surface of the table by a map, which provides a bird’s eye view of the site. A vertical projection renders the scene against a background, which is produced by either a video stream or a panorama image. The ColorTable is set up in the MR Tent, at the courtyard of the university. Two different scenarios will be supported: the revitalisation of former military barracks in Cergy-Pontoise near Paris and the planning of an exhibition within Grand-Palais in Paris.
