Her timing could hardly be better. As George Monbiot so inconveniently demonstrates  in &#8220;Heat&#8221;, each passenger on a return flight from London to New York produces roughly 1.2 tonnes of carbon dioxide. &#8220;There is no technofix to the disastrous impact of air travel on the environment&#8230;the only answer is to ground most of the aeroplanes flying today&#8221; concludes cheerful George.
